Both our U11 and u12 team players participated in the Sporting KC McDonald’s Walk of Champions. The stands were filled with 20,000 and it was the most important game of the season to date. Our boys looked great walking out with the players including soccer legends, Thierry Henry, Rafa Marquez and Omar Bravo. Sporting won the game 2 to 0 and clinched a spot in the playoffs. It was a great game and a great day in Kansas City Soccer.

It was another scorcher with temperatures over 100 F. Sedalia Soccer 305 Spin were 100+ strong at Livestrong Sporting Park on a Wednesday. The boys headed down to one of the LSP locker rooms and got kitted out to participate in the Walk of Champions and share the limelight with the 11 Sporting KC starters and the 11 Newcastle United starters. It was truly an experience they will not soon forget. Sporting and NUFC played to a 0-0 draw, but we got to see Sporting’s new players (Jeferson, Cyrus, Saad) freshen up the Sporting lineup.

Thanks to everyone that helped make the Tailgate fundraiser such a success. It was a lovely Missouri July day so sunny and HOT. We got in around noon to start setting up and Grillmaster Chris was on it. Mark Ciersdoff showed up with 3 more tops, tables and the generator. We had 5 12×12 tops providing shade. It was awesome. We had a great turnout from the teams of players and families and friends and working with the Cauldron fans, it really made a most wonderful soccer community. Thanks to Sam Pierron, Sean Dane, Chris Donahoo, Ben Cunningham and everyone else with Sporting, the Cauldron and KC AO, making this such a success.

The Sedalia Soccer 305 Spin lead caravan arrived at the new Liveststrong Sporting Park at 2:00. The gates weren’t open yet as planned, but Sam got us in. It was a pretty nice day and everyone was celebrating. We had a great turnout and everyone was excited to get into the new stadium. The atmosphere was fantastic and while the Sporting boys worked hard to  get us the win, we ended up with a 0-0 tie. The 305 boys had an amazing time as they cheered on Sporting from the front row behind the goal in the Cauldron. We had waited so long for this day, and no one was disappointed. This is our new HOME for Soccer. Welcome Home!

March 14, 2011. A few of us made it up to the Sporting KC Players meet and greet at Johnny’s. I am not sure if the boys had more fun meeting and hanging with the players or the players had more fun hanging with the boys. A terrific evening that the boys will not soon forget.
