It was a perfect day to play soccer. Beautiful blue sky and temperatures in the high 60′s. Everyone arrived early and enjoyed the sunshine and the great soccer atmosphere at WMSL soccer complex.
The team pulled together and showed their support for Tanner, who had been hit by a car on his bike on Saturday. Amazingly he came to the game and dressed in his kit, watched from the sidelines.
The team roared into action and put in 4 goals by half time with Hunter netting 3 and Trenten Leary getting the other. Dylan Hayden stopped his second penalty kick on the season to keep his clean sheet.
The second half saw the boys ready to party hitting the back of the net 10 times with two goals from Trenton Willis, Dylan Hayden got 1 and 4 more from Trenten Leary and 3 more from Hunter. Wolves got into two really nice goals and the final ended up 14 to 2.
This win gave us 22 points for the season, 1 more point then FFC Harambe and clinched the division. The boys scored 82 goals on the season including the 0-0 half game we played in the snow.
We all headed back to Sedalia and met at El Tapatio for the Soccer Party. Everyone had a great time. Thanks to everyone for the Great Coach Bobblehead and the bon voyage present. Wow – very nice. And thanks again to Mrs. Edgar for the season finale dvd – truly a great season to remember.
We will get together again after we get back to hand out the League Awards and plan for next season.
THANKS EVERYONE!!

per the KC Metro league Alert May 15, 11:12pm
Saturday, May 16 games at WMSL on fields 5 thru 9 are canceled. Games on fields 1 thru 4 with a start time of noon or later will be played. Games before noon are canceled.
I have sent emails to the director of KC metro, RSC and the coach of Wolves to see if we can reschedule for noon on the 16th. Probably not going to happen, but I will call them Saturday morning to check for sure and then call everybody.
We are also discussing a 12:00 or 12:30 game on Sunday, May 17th.
We will wait to decide on the party once we hear if we can make this game up or if it is indeed cancelled.
UPDATE – May 16 – 5:30am -
last night, actually early this morning, the WMSL coach gave us the choice of making the game up Sunday, May 17 at 12:30, 1 or 1:30. He has submitted this request to WMSL. We are waiting on their approval. They had their soccer party scheduled for today at noon like us and he did not want to change that to try to resked later today. As soon as I hear back, I will call everyone on the reschedule date/time.

We returned to Tiffany Hills where we previously only got to play one half of soccer in freezing rain and snow. But today it was a sunny day in the 60′s. Futura Vipers were the home team and we looked to get our first win in our away whites, and our first win at Tiffany on their narrow field.
We started the game with a good match. But each of our forwards hit the back of the net, Hunter, Trenten Leary and Riley. Hayden picked up a goal to give us a 4-0 lead at halftime. Our play in the first half was nicely organized with good shape, lots of passing (including a few give and go’s) and the boys hit the mark on our three objectives – pressure, pace and possession. Well done.
In the second half we fell into our everybody get the ball to try to score mode, and we seemed a bit unorganized for a bit. Probably due to some of the weird subs coach was making. But once we got everyone back in their sweet spot, we starting rolling with Hunter grabbing two goals to complete his hat trick, Riley pulled a nice little move to beat the goalie for his second and Trenton banged home the 8th goal of the match.
Another clean sheet and leaves us one win away from enough points to win our group.

It was another beautiful weekday evening. And HA once again blessed us with his “picnic” tacos. Thanks, HA!
In the first half the Wizards struggled against 11 determined DC players and the refs. The MLS really has to do something about the quality (or lack thereof) of officials. The level of play gets better every year, but not the officiating. DCU snuck in a slow roller and went into half leading 1 to 0.
The second half saw the Wizards come roaring out and pretty much dominate the entire half. Josh Wolf put in his third goal of the season and then had another chance to put us up a goal on a header from a terrific cross from Lopez. We were sitting right behind the goal and Josh just missed getting it down inside the post.

Game 6 was against the RSC Dragons and was started pretty quickly after the first game. The boys were raring to go and seemed to enjoy getting a double header in. We started the game with our “small forwards” and off we went.
We had lots of first goals today – Alex, Colby, Trey (2), Hayden, so it is great seeing several different players putting the ball into the net.

Everyone really enjoyed seeing Trey taking it to them. The first goal included two nice moves – both cutbacks that we had worked on earlier in the week. Again – lots of pics because I didn’t have time to edit them.
